Abuse can happen to anyone. We offer client-centered support for domestic violence trauma. Beyond immediate help, we provide specialist interventions: safety & recovery for survivors and children, behavioral change programs for perpetrators, and corporate awareness training. You are not alone.
Domestic violence, also called domestic abuse, includes physical, coercive and controlling behaviours, emotional, verbal and sexual abuse in couple relationships or between family members.
Domestic abuse becomes normalised, as the person causing harm keeps control, whilst the victim gradually loses sense of self and empowerment. We become trapped in the cycle of abuse, chasing the good times, sadly only to be hurt again. The longer we stay, the greater investment we have to help the perpetrator to change, and hope that, with another 'sorry', it is the last time we will be scared and hurt. The last time we would feel desperate. The harder it becomes to leave and say goodbye.
We feel trapped, confused, ashamed, at All About Abuse, we understand.

"Rachael made me feel safe from the very first conversation. Knowing she had her own
experience of abuse helped me feel understood, but she never made it about herself — she
stayed completely focused on me and what I needed. Her approach has always been non-
judgemental, calm, and genuinely caring.
She explained the key elements of abuse so clearly — the red flags, coercive and controlling
behaviours, and the emotional impact they have. For the first time, I felt like things finally made sense."
